Messe Friedrichshafen initiates platforms for digital business
Messe Friedrichshafen launches new digitalization campaign
Bicle: new network for E-mobility
Messe Friedrichshafen continues to expand its digitalization strategy and henceforth will offer new services that enhance market assistance far beyond the mere event at Lake Constance itself. “The declared goal is to further develop our specialized trade events as unique focal points for business encounters, in an analog as well as in a digital context. To do this, we are employing industry-specific solutions to generate real value-added for brands,” says Klaus Wellmann, CEO of Messe Friedrichshafen. DIGON GmbH, founded for this purpose, will primarily manage the development, operation and marketing of the digital business platforms.
The new company has its headquarters on the Messe Friedrichshafen premises and is managed by Ivo de Wit. The 50-year-old Dutch citizen brings deep and sound expertise in media and business development to the position. Furthermore, he also possesses a lot of experience in the bicycle industry, which he will bring to bear in Friedrichshafen, home of the Eurobike, the world’s leading bike trade show. Under the name “Bicle - mobility industry network”, the initiators have launched a new portal that represents a digital focal point and one-stop resource for issues related to the future of mobility. “Bicle offers business actors in the global e-mobility industry an interactive, state of the art industry platform with network functions, industry news, data, studies and trend analyses. Bicle connects manufacturers, brands, suppliers and service providers around the world with the goal of generating new ideas, partnerships and business,” de Wit explains.
DIGON GmbH also intends to launch more industry platforms in the medium term.
