AERO 2023 is heading for success

Friedrichshafen, Germany – With more than 670 international exhibitors from 35 countries, AERO 2023 (April 19 - 22, 2023) has a very good turnout of industry leaders from the General Aviation sector and is on a good course. Once again, a wide-ranging technical conference program will also accompany the 29th edition of the trade show at Lake Constance, which will cover an area of 95,000 square meters in eleven exhibition halls, two foyers plus a static display.

The aviation industry traditionally gathers at Lake Constance for AERO Friedrichshafen, visitors can experience the entire spectrum of General Aviation, manufacturers of piston aircraft, ultralights and LSA aircraft are represented at the trade show as well as manufacturers of helicopters and Business Jets. Suppliers who make avionics, engines, rescue systems and other accessories have confirmed their attendance in large numbers. Unmanned aviation in the form of drones will also be prominently represented from April 19 - 21 with its own exhibition area "AERO Drones" in exhibition hall A2.

The importance of the trade show for General Aviation as a whole is underscored by the high level of commitment from key OEM’s, service providers and organizations from around the world. Tobias Bretzel, AERO show director at trade show organizer fairnamic GmbH, says: "Aviation is currently in a phase of upheaval, determined by sustainable aviation and a skill shortage. We are addressing the issue of sustainability in a variety of ways: From last year's 'AERO Sustainable Aviation Trail' to a packed E-Flight Expo in Hall A7 and our new AERO Hydrogen Summit (April 21), where hydrogen as a propulsion technology will be presented and discussed. For the first time, the AERO Career Day will focus on the topic of recruiting young talent and personnel with its own format on April 21.“

Innovation is firmly anchored in the genes of the AERO. For twelve years now, for example, there has been the e-flight-expo as a separate trade show focus, where manufacturers and providers of aircraft and services related to electric flight present their innovations to visitors and inform them about the possibilities of this type of propulsion. The trade show organizers again expect an appealing number of innovations from all sectors.

The transformation of aviation towards greater sustainability is also an integral part of the AERO Conferences, which will once again feature an extensive program. In addition to overarching conferences on topics such as the reorganization of the airspace structure in Germany, hydrogen as an aviation fuel, drones in BOS use and business aviation, there will also be presentations on topics related to practical flying and product presentations. Aviation offers interested parties a large number of very different professions and career opportunities and fears a shortage of skilled workers in the near future.

At AERO 2023, a wide range of companies will be providing information about career opportunities for newcomers and already qualified personnel. At the AERO Career Day on the gallery in the West Foyer, interested parties can network directly with around 30 companies and organizations to initiate their professional future in aviation.
