Friedrichshafen – Unique overnight stays in distinctive locations are currently all the rage. For anyone traveling with a motorhome, Messe Friedrichshafen offers a new place to stay on Lake Constance right next to the exhibition halls with a view of the Zeppelin Hangar and the Friedrichshafen Regional Airport. Starting May 23, 2025, parking lot P East 2 will be available for online booking as a “pop-up motorhome campsite.” Please note: It is not possible to reserve a parking space during trade fair events. “With around 100 motorhome sites, we’re offering much-needed additional capacity during peak travel season to help ease the shortage of motorhome parking. Of course, we don’t see ourselves as competing with the many beautifully situated campsites around the lake,” explains Dirk Wagner, Head of Mobility at Messe Friedrichshafen. Until now, parking lot P East 2 has served exclusively as an official overnight accommodation during events for exhibitors and trade fair visitors with motorhomes.
Booking and payment online
The pop-up motorhome campsite is conveniently located and easily accessible for heavy vehicles. You can reserve a parking space through online booking platforms like the Camperpay and Campercontact apps, as well as the www.campercontact.de website. A representative from Messe Friedrichshafen will be available on site at designated times to issue the mandatory resort card to guests, which also entitles visitors to bus transportation to the city center. The campsite is equipped with essential facilities such as sanitary units, waste disposal, fresh water, and electrical hookups. A motorhome site costs €25 per day and vehicle, plus a flat-rate electricity charge of €5 per night and a local guest fee.
