Running together at the wenglor Firmenlauf
Out of the office and onto the racetrack: On July 15th, it was that time of the year again, and the wenglor Friedrichshafen Firmenlauf kicked off. Together with colleagues, we set out on the 5.5-kilometer course leading around the exhibition grounds of the Messe Friedrichshafen. The focus isn’t on personal bests, but on team spirit, exercise, and the shared experience.
For the first time, the participants started in four waves, each 15 minutes apart. This reduced wait times and spread out the crowd along the course. At the finish line, participants were treated to a varied program of activities, including catering, an awards ceremony, and an after-run party.
Awards were given, among other things, to the fastest teams of three, the largest corporate teams, the Apprentice-Superstars, and the most creative costumes. New this year was a separate category for skilled trades businesses.
At the same time, the company run supports a good cause: DKMS is the official charity partner. The organizer, n plus sport, donated one euro to the organization for every participant to help in the fight against blood cancer.
